The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, Assistant/Associate Professor, tenured/tenure-track position to begin Fall 2019 in the area of behavior genetics.

Essential qualifications include a doctoral degree in Psychology or other discipline relevant to the position (e.g., neuroscience, behavior genetics) by the start date, and a strong record of research productivity and teaching effectiveness relative to the candidate’s level of experience. We are interested in candidates who examine human or animal genetics or epigenetics together with other biological, behavioral, social and/or cultural levels of analysis.

We value theoretically- based, programmatic approaches that have the potential for extramural funding. We are a highly collaborative, research-oriented department, https://psychology.clas.asu.edu. Example areas of expertise include epigenetics and early adversity, telomere length and aging, genetic moderation of intervention effects, and cultural genetics. Demonstrated success reaching out to diverse communities or meeting the needs of diverse student populations is desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to make scholarly contributions in behavior genetic psychology, mentor graduate students, teach advanced courses in her/his specialty area, contribute to teaching core curriculum at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and participate in service to the department, university, and profession as appropriate.
