Research Associate (Postdoctoral Researcher)

The Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences and the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics at Cardiff University School of Medicine seek to appoint a postdoctoral Research Psychologist for 3 years to work on a Medical Research Council funded grant ‘Early-onset depression: characterising development and identifying risks.’ This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary research team investigating the causes of major depression. 

The successful applicant will work within the child and adolescent/developmental disorders research group at the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics, Cardiff University. The post-holder will be based at Cardiff (supervised by Dr Frances Rice) and also work with colleagues at the University of Bristol and University College London.

The post-holder should possess skills in longitudinal data analysis.  A strong publication record is desirable.  Previous experience and knowledge of developmental psychopathology/ child and adolescent mental health is required.

This post is full time (35 hours per week), available from 1st October 2017 and is fixed term for 3 years.

Salary: £32,548 – £38,833 per annum (Grade 6).
