Airport Transfers to/from Royal Sonesta

Boston Logan International Airport is just 3 miles to the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

Taxi: Travel from Logan Airport to the Royal Sonesta Hotel is provided by Boston taxi companies. Fares are a metered rate and may range from $25 – $30 depending upon traffic conditions and the time of arrival.  Return travel from the Royal Sonesta back to Logan Airport is provided by Cambridge taxi companies such as Cambridge Taxi Cab (617) 649-7000 at flat rates.

Public Transportation: Logan Airport is accessible by using the MBTA, also known as the “T” but please  allow at least 1 hour travel time. Subway stations have self-service machines where you can purchase a single-ride ticket or a pass.

Cost: Single Ride: $2.75 USD, 1 Day Pass (unlimited subway/bus rides for 24 hours): $12.00 USD, 7 Day Pass (unlimited subway/bus rides for 7 days): $21.25 USD.

Green Line – 0.7 Miles

Take the Green Line MBTA trolley/bus to Lechmere Station. Exit and follow signs to Cambridge Street. Cross to First Street and walk along the CambridgeSide Galleria to Charles Street/Cambridgeside Place. Turn left and the Hotel will be at the end of the block.

Red Line – 1.2 Miles

Take the Red Line to Kendall Square Station. Exit station and cross the street to the MIT Coop. The “Wave” Shuttle Service picks up at this location on a posted schedule, every 20 minutes, 9am – 8pm, Monday – Saturday and 12pm – 7pm on Sunday.

The shuttle bus will drop you off at the CambridgeSide Galleria, across the street from the hotel. Walk across Edwin Land Boulevard to the Hotel.

Driving Directions to Royal Sonesta Boston

From the Airport: Take the main airport roadway (one-way) out of the airport and follow signs for “Route 1A / Sumner Tunnel, Boston/ I 93.” Enter the tunnel and stay in the right lane. As you exit the Summer Tunnel, veer right into the tunnel for Storrow Drive. As you exit this tunnel, make a left following signs for “Leverett Circle / North Station.” At the second light, make a left and follow 28 North (McGrath / O’Brien highway). You will pass the Museum of Science on your left. After two traffic lights, turn left onto Edwin H. Land Boulevard (sign will say Memorial Drive) and follow to first traffic light and turn left into the Royal Sonesta’s driveway.

Shuttle from Royal Sonesta area to Broad

The “Wave” Shuttle Service is a Free Shuttle Service offered from the front of the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall to Kendall Square T Station which is just down the road from the Broad Institute.  The bus runs every 20 minutes, 9am – 8pm, Monday – Saturday and 12pm – 7pm on Sunday.
