Postdoctoral fellowship, genetics of mental disorders, Oslo (Norway) and Bristol (UK)

We have an exciting three-year postdoctoral position to study genetic risk factors for mental disorders and their manifestations in traits, symptoms and diagnoses during different developmental stages from birth to adulthood. Additional aims are to examine the potential influences of gender and environmental exposures on whether genetic risk factors for mental disorders are manifested in mental health problems. The postdoctoral fellow will work on novel data from the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study (MoBa), including longitudinal follow-up of more than 100,000 children and their parents from pregnancy onwards, genotype data and linkage to national registries.

Postdocs, Department of Psychology at Emory University, Atlanta (USA)

The Behavioral Genetics of Addiction Laboratory (PI information: located in the Department of Psychology at Emory University, is looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellows to work on statistical genetics and epidemiological studies of substance use, psychopathology, and their relation to cognitive functioning.

We mainly focus on whole genome and systems-based genetic studies that integrate multi-omics data (DNA, RNA, microRNA, Methylation, Proteomics data) into our models predicting complex traits and diseases. We also work on longitudinal studies that examine the development of addictive behaviors in the context of personality and cognitive differences, as well as, a number of familial and individual-level demographic characteristics.
